I created this painting after I walked past this beautiful lake on a recent trip to the countryside. The serene beauty of the lake, whether under the moonlight or bathed in the midday golden sunrays, always left me feeling peaceful. The reclining figure in art history has always intrigued me, and I wanted to imagine myself lying down beside the water. The figure you see in the foreground is a self-portrait, a symbol of the inner peace I felt during those days in nature.
