I created these images as a way to express my Omani heritage and the memories I have of growing up there as a child. Vivid colours remain in my mind when I think of Oman. I imagine all my female ancestors sitting chatting to me, and the long line of brave strong mothers that lived their lives before I was born. I will never hear their voices and learn their secrets, though I do believe they sometimes come and whisper sweet songs in my ear as I sleep.
